The company Luis has found me is great. It is called CEC Network. The Canadian Education Centre Network is a private, independent non-profit company that was founded in 1995 with support from the Government of Canada to promote and market Canada as a study destination for international students and as a world-class provider of education services. People working in there are very nice and friendly. I was really interested in my work, because I promoted the event the company was working on - The Go Abroad Fair. The Go Abroad Fair showcases opportunities for Canadian youth to "take on the world" through study abroad, work and volunteer opportunities, cultural programs and overseas adventure travel. The fair is widely recognized by young Canadians pursuing opportunities abroad. As I am also interested in working and studying abroad I helped to prepare the event with a great interest!! Through my internship I developed my communication and language skills a lot! Every day I was talking to native speakers! I also gained some organizational skills by leading the work of volunteers. I realized how events are prepared. I understand the attitude of the real Canadian office!! I really enjoyed my time in CEC Network ad hope I was helpful! I had the opportunity to work, doing 100% inspection to different auto-parts that the company produces. I have the chance to speak to improve my communication skills, and great experience, andI learned some new different things that might help me in the future, plus my co-workers and my boss were really nice. I think the company liked my job and they gave me a recommendation letter to support my resume when I go back to my country so I'm very thankful with the company and Wish Toronto for this all opportunities.

My internship in KaimeraMedia was good, I would like to learn more about it but I been here only for 4 weeks and I know is not enough to get more practice, I was doing administrative work and answering phone calls, that was good because I improved my listening skills.

When I decided to come to Toronto in order to develop my English skills I wanted to do something more than the regular and an Internship matched my wishes. I first contact ILAC and I was introduced to Wish Toronto. They were very supportive and promptly found me an interview. I’ve chosen a medium-size corporation expecting to have a good overview of the business and I got it at The Messengers International. They gave me the opportunity to work in different areas in the company, from billing, collection and logistics. Now I know I had a real Canadian Experience.

In May 2007, I started my internship at Jonview Canada Inc. After two months working for Group Operations, I had the opportunity to help out Reservations and Customer Service each afternoon. This gave me a chance to see more of Jonview and its workflows. By choosing an international company such as Jonview, I improved my English knowledge also by meeting a lot of people from all over the world. I've got an excellent experience at Quest Travel. I communicated with different people in English, and I have learned lot of new things and also I have shared with others what I knew. I wish I could have more time here as one month it is a too short period. At the end of my internship I was already a part of the team and I liked it. Wish Vancouver made a great job as they provided me with all necessary information about interview, and found me two variants so I had the options. I’ve been interested in working at a Canadian company which is making environmentally friendly products such as Eco Business. I joined some marketing meetings, and I was doing research for certifications which are issued by Canadian or American government. Such as Eco Logo and Green Seal. I think I could improve my English skill through working in the company. Also, I could learn about North American Business. I’m sure this situation will be very helpful for me in the future. Wish Vancouver also had been really helping me to find that place which I was looking for working as a practicum, how to write a resume, and how to take an interview. Our company has a variety of clients (Canadian companies) wishing to enter international market. I was responsibility for Japanese market and I found trade opportunity between Canadian companies and Japanese companies. I finished more than 10 projects to introduce Canadian companies to Japanese companies. The Canadian companies that I introduced to Japanese companies　are:　Soya World, Garden Protein International, Export2002, Genesis foods, Organika, Eco Coat, Robbiez, 10thousand BC, Biodroga, Wolf Honey and New Co. Those Canadian companies are establishing business relationship with Japanese companies and I supported them to have better relationship. I am working for Kuehne and Nagel customs department. My tasks at Kuehne and Nagel are filing, making copies, print outing invoices, making a spreadsheet, organizing the filing shelves, and distributing incoming faxes. There is any other student at the department, so I am in charge of all these tasks. The working atmosphere is very comfortable. Students can use office facilities the same as other coworkers, and students attend the “huddle”. It is a meeting that delivering important information. I would like to keep work, and if I get used to handle all tasks by myself, I would like to have more tasks. Also, I would like to help coworkers to make their work smooth and efficient.

The biggest achievement, although, was that I could gain knowledge of estimation and related detailed engineering work, such as drawing translation, parts list reading, fabrication process and so on. Also through software development, I could gain very useful knowledge of programming. These would be a good background in terms of setting new perspective on my thought, doing any kind of engineering job in the future. I had hoped to make this opportunity as first step of my new career in development or design field, but unfortunately it couldn’t be achieved. In addition, to work in 100% English environment was truly a challenge for me.

I graduated from Sportt-shaw community college. Now I am taking an internship as a Chinese Market Researcher & Developer at Canada Export Centre. I really felt diffcult about this job when I started it, because I did not know exactly how its process and who can I connect with. After one week training and exercise, I almost understood how to deal with this hard mission. In the Canada Export Centre, I learned and collected a lot experience. I know how to be a good seller and how to recommend products or service.More than that, I know how to write a perfect report, too. Lastly, thanks WishVancouver for offering this internship for me.

At the first I was very afraid and worried about my internship but now, after three months, I am very happy to have great experience. I learned and felt a lot of things through this internship … I helped their web page job and during my internship I had to figure out Illustrator and Micro Angelo. It was hard but fun. I always wanted to learn Web design. It was great opportunity to practice them … Not only job but people also were great … I have many great memories and I won’t forget it. They were willing to teach or talk to me … I experienced one of real Canadian cultures and I had a lot of fun.

My supervisor is considerate so when I don’t know how to deal with my work, she teaches me in a detailed way … I learn the effect they have to people and the difference business structure in comparison to my country to my country … this chance gave me experience about foreign culture … I also learn the way to interact with people from different cultures…

Because my boss and supervisor are on holiday I do whatever has to be done with my colleague, it’s a tough challenge. Even though work load is too much, it helps me to learn more. As I mentioned above, because they are on holiday, I m the only one who does pricing and selling in the company. I had enough responsibility; apparently I will have it till the end of my internship. I also send a container to Panama. This shipment has been sold and organized by me.

Last Two weeks I was work in small concert and performance. That time I can learn many things about this part. All person in my company are always kind and they always give me advise. Now I didn’t attend any special meetings but we always talk about our tasks each other. They always concern to me and help me.

In my case, internship experience was very helpful for me. I was able to learn Canadian working culture from co-workers, so it made me a global person.
